Besifloxacin is a prescription medication used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pinkeye), an infection of the eye. Besifloxacin belongs to a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones. These work by killing the bacteria that cause infection.
This medication comes as an eye drop and is usually applied into the eyes 3 times a day for 7 days.
Common side effects of besifloxacin include eye redness, pain, and itching.
